I always loved to look behind the scenes, in every respect. And so I try to fathom, understand and describe all the things that are behind what we see and hear in music. What kind of mechanisms are responsible for us to experience and produce music and rhythm? How can you master a musical instrument and what is happening with the brain in the process?
I want to find the answers to these kinds of questions and of course pass on my findings.
You can find my first big study here. It deals with the influence of movement on time-perception and rhythm-production. This was my bachelor’s thesis for my studies of Kinesiology in Hamburg.
It is in German, but I will try to provide a paper in English very soon.
